NCHPAD IN THE NEWS

On October 26, 2006, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that it will develop comprehensive guidelines summarizing the latest knowledge about activity and health. The development of the Guidelines will use a Federal Advisory Committee process. Thanks to the growing visibility of our two Centers, NCHPAD and the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Recreational Technologies and Exercise Physiology for People with Disabilities (RERC Rectech), people with disabilities will be represented by our director, James H. Rimmer, Ph.D., on the Physical Activity Guidelines Advisory Committee.

To read more about the guidelines and recently appointed committee, including useful links, go to this month's Director's Column at http://www.ncpad.org/475/2359/2007-6~Issue~~People~with~Disabilities~in~the~Development
