Pre-Planning and Things to Consider Bringing Along Before Your Family Ventures Outdoors

"There are several things that I had not anticipated until I got there. I would bring more clothes and other necessity type items. I think the next time; I would want to make sure that I brought Tylenol. I bought a little first aid kit but it didn't have his Motrin in it and it didn't have anything for a toothache. I would definitely bring a few more of those things with me."

The benefit of taking an excursion outdoors is that there can be something for every member of the family. Canoeing and camping are activities where the family gets to play together as a team. Hiking offers everyone the opportunity to look for wildlife activity. Your kids will discover rocks to climb and create new games to play. However, family recreation outings do need some special considerations.
