Asanas in the Supine Position - Hip Exercises


Hip exercises increase flexibility as well as relieves tension in the hip joint. This exercise also strengthens the hip abductors and adductors, which work on maintaining our balance when walking.

If the student's hip joint is particularly tight or hypertonic, initially perform the exercises within their available, comfortable range of motion. Progressively increase the range of motion with time.
