Kimberly Hannon is currently an adjunct professor teaching a course on assistive technology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Kimberly worked as an intern with the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD) in the summer of 2003 and has volunteered for adaptive recreational programs in St. Louis, Missouri and in Colorado. She received a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. During graduate school, she studied evaluative quality of participation in recreation by individuals with mobility impairments.
