Camp Sunshine gives the child with cancer the opportunity to learn new skills, to develop independence and to participate in activities that promote normal childhood development. These children desperately need every possible opportunity to be normal.
Home to most of Camp Sunshine’s events is Camp Twin Lakes, a camp facility built for children with special needs. Camp Twin Lakes is located near Rutledge, Georgia, approximately one hour east of Atlanta.
The staff at Camp Sunshine’s programs includes medical professionals who can administer medication and other types of treatment to children with cancer, and dedicated volunteers from throughout the community.
