Notes

At Camp Lakewood, your child can attend our Summer Camp Program, participate in the Tripping Program, work on leadership skills in our Leadership Development Programs, or focus on Horsemanship as a special elective of our regular camp program. Children ages six to eight can experience a taste of the summer camp program through Mini-Camp. We welcome children of all nationalities and denominations and pride ourselves on the cultural diversity of our campers and counselors. The emphasis of our teaching models the four-core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

We offer both one and two-week sessions. During a one-week session each child has four clinic choices (activities, i.e. archery). A two-week session presents each child with eight different clinic choices, offering either more choices, or greater depth of instruction. Two-week campers also receive special weekend programming, the opportunity to deepen friendships newly made, and the opportunity to develop greater personal growth.
