Northeast Westchester Special Recreation offers six weeks of a variety of programs for participants ages 4 to 20 years. Some examples include:

• Night Life Leisure - Each week, we will enjoy an evening of exciting summer-fun activities. For the first hour, we will have a group swim. The second hour will include a variety of activities including: arts & crafts, nature, table games, group games, sports and more.
• Bowling - A record of each bowler's weekly progress will be maintained and averages will be handed out at the end of the session. This program is a great way to socialize with friends, have fun and improve your bowling skills.
• Special Olympics Softball - Experience the benefits of team work, skill development and camaraderie. We will start with warm-ups, move on to sports drills and finish every practice with a team scrimmage. All skill levels welcome!
• Essex Steam Train & River Boat - Enjoy a sightseeing journey on an old fashioned steam train, then a boat ride through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley.
• Overnight Camping Trips - Be a part of our Summer Camping trip at Blue Mountain in Peekskill! Enjoy hiking, games, arts & crafts, campfires and sp much more. Both cabins and tents will be available. A packing list will be mailed to all who register.
• Fun Central - Arcade games, miniature golf, bumper boats; it doesn't get any better than this! Join us for the fun.
• Vacation Week - Participants must be 16 and older. Previous overnight experience with North East required! Transportation, 3 meals a day, snacks, lodging, nursing, medical services and all activities included. Frost Valley is a beautiful YMCA camp in the Catskills. Activities will include hiking, boating, swimming, cycling, archery, group sports, arts & crafts, hayrides, a talent show, dancing, campfires, storytelling, sing-a-longs, the cable bridge, a ropes adventure course and a planetarium visit.
