Notes

For a week in San Diego and Imperial county children living with arthritis will be able to let their disease take a back seat and just be kids. Joint Adventure Camp will be held in Julian and provide a medically supervised environment for kids to participate in summer camp activities, such as archery, arts and crafts, swimming, and more.

"The camp is a great place for children with arthritis to interact with and gain support from their peers who understand how it is to live with the disease," said Veronica Braun, president and CEO, Arthritis Foundation San Diego Area Chapter. "In some cases, these childrens support networks at school are low because they have a hard time finding another child who truly understands what they are going through."

This years Joint Adventure Camp will host more than 35 children, ranging from 10 to 17, from San Diego and Imperial counties. The camp is held at Camp Marston.
