About Hello. My name is Eileen. I loved to garden but am unable to do it now. I have neuropathy in my feet and and to a lesser degree, in my hands also. My balance is quite bad and I use a cane to help me get around, as I don't feel my feet very well. I have a lot of Arthritis in various parts of my body. I have Scoliosis and also Spinal Stenosis. That limits me from doing a lot of things, as its painful to stand for long. I can no longer drive myself because of my neuropathy. I can shop a little bit when I have a shopping cart to hold onto. I had a left shoulder replacement approx 10 years ago and a right knee replacement 4 years ago. Needless to say I should have had the opposite limbs replaced but it's just been one of those things I put off, as I felt like I couldn't deal with more pain.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
