About I have lived with chronic pain for years as well as several health issues. I was at my best Health, fitness and weight in 2002. The past two years under the pandemic lockdowns, travel limitations etc, as well as the stress of those and other things in life, (husband retiring and moving across the country) have not helped and I've found myself seriously deconditioned. I've not really known how to make my way back to even my pre-2020 self much less my 2002 self. Because of chronic pain and a general inability to tolerate Ibupropen it is very hard to motivate myself to more activity because of the at least initial increase in pain. I know activity especially in the fresh air and sunshine can ultimately help with pain management and that inactivity and deconditioning will only make for more pain later. So I need to find my way to making for habits that will be helpful long term.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
