About Hi! My name is Rhonda. My nick name is Rhainz. I contacted GuIllian-Barre syndrome ( gbs) ten years ago. My legs arms hands and trunk as well as my face became paralyzed. My condition improved with treatment at my local hospital. I did relapse four times and had to enter inpatient physical rehab twice. Eventually, I was diagnosed with CIDP the chronic form of GBS. I have reduced mobility in my hands and legs. Recently, I had a heart attack at night and ended up immobile on the floor for 13 hours. I knew my daughter was scheduled to visit me the next afternoon, so I did not panic. I did wish I kept my floor cleaner, however. !y daughter helped me to my back door, but even when my feet were lower than my backside I was unable to stand. My daughter called 911 and I was taken to the hospital. My test results showed I had had a heart attack. My left side was weak. I needed physical rehab Gor my legs and occupational therapy for my left hand and arm. I have always been "the fat girl" A good friend, funny and smart but not the one you want on your sports team. I want to learn to be active, to increase my chances of beating heart disease and learn to enjoy and cherish life as a crazy old lady. There are three great grandsons I want to be around for. Who else can tell them stories about their grandparents adventures in the olden days of a past century?
