About My name is Patricia. I love being outside, surrounded by nature. I am lucky to live in a beautiful rural mountainous area. I have been a dedicated runner, and trying to get back to it now that I am working full time. where i once ran daily, I am happy if i get out 2X/week. I lift weights but i need to be more committed. I am also a hiker, and with spring here, i hope to return to the trails. I have asked three colleagues to join me as a challenge to achieving our varied fitness goals. Generally I feel healthy but I feel the aging process impacting me in unexpected ways. I think this is partly due to not having the time i once had to get it done. It's a conundrum. Health is more important to me than income, but the increase in my hours came with many benefits including oversight of a new wellness/wellbeing program for people with disabilities.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
