About My name is Christina. I live in northern New Mexico, so northern that I am practically in Colorado. I have Crohn's Disease and Psoriatic Arthritis. When the CD hit my level of activity severely diminished and I went on a weight roller coaster. The PsA showed up a couple years later and it hampered it even more. I have been trying to get back to where I was physically but I do too much too soon and it puts me in a flare every time. My Rheumatologist keeps telling me to take baby steps but that means nothing to me it seems. It has been a frustrating cycle. Winter is coming, and with the pandemic, I am hoping to learn more things I can do to be active indoors. My ultimate goal is to get back to hiking the Rocky Mountains. Next summer would be great but I will take any gains I can make.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
