About I am a 52 year old two time cancer survivor (breast cancer 2009 and 2018). Prior to this., I was in great shape however the surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and now hormonal therapy you have left me out of shape with different following limitations; the dense chemo caused Neuropathy in my feet and hands which affects my sensory system, balance, stamina and fatigue ; The mastectomy has affected my use of the radon and I am at risk for lymphedema and must exercise; the hormonal therapy causes all kinds of things which I am currently in doing especially joint and muscle pain. I have difficulty eating as I often times don’t have an appetite and should be drinking water to avoid dehydration but just like it. Also my cancer is considered estrogen positive so I must of avoid Any vitamin or food which can affect my woman system increasing progesterone or estrogen. I have been homebound for so long that I am atrophied and require cognitive ttraining. I will be beginning the rehabilitative process at Burke rehabilitation as soon as possible.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
