About Hi, my name is Megan B. In 2007 I fell about 100 ft. And became paralyzed from the armpits down. I am so thrilled that even though I have no abdominal muscles I do have use of my arms. I cook, do the dishes and laundry and the other indoor chores I have always done. I have loved walking and hiking my entire life and I try the best as I can to continue that! When I wheel around the block I go by myself. Other wise I have a large Portuguese Water Dog that is a trained service dog and he helps me with all out of house activities. I am 55, married with two dogs and an only daughter who is expecting her first child. I am super plump right now and I feel like I have 6 months to get fit for this new baby!!!!

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
