About Hi my name is Geri. I am trying to lose weight so I can get a complete hip replacement. I have gained weight so I am trying very hard to lose it. I have lost 25 pounds so far but need to lose 40 more. Cannot walk well and it does hurt to walk. I am on pain medication to help me. I use to be a very active person but no more. Getting up in years but as far as I am concerned my life is not over yet.☺️ By the way I am 65. Have a wonderful hubby who helps me all the time. Been married for almost 50 years now and we were married very young. I was 15 him 17. Two great kids a boy and a girl. Four grandsons, two by my daughter and two by my son. Losing weight is really hard to when walking is difficult. Almost down to eating nothing. Hubby keeps saying I have to eat, but sometimes just hate putting anything in my mouth. Hopefully this plan will work. Everyone take care.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
