About My name is Cheryl and I am trying to take control of my recovery from a MS exacerbation. At present I have right sided weakness. I was diagnosed with MS 31 years ago and still able to do almost anything I want to, but just got out of the hospital for this flare up. I have to be smart about how much activity I attempt at present so I don't set myself back. I really need to get stronger so I can take my dogs, Willow and Lexi for a walk around the block (and not the other way around LOL). Went for my 1st PT appointment today. That will help tremendously. Also looking to lose a few pounds with the program as the added weight doesn't make it any easier to move. I try to stay positive, and would love to connect with like minded, positive participants!

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
