About Hi everyone! I'm Sheila and I have Multiple Sclerosis. MS limits me differently at different times. I have recently been diagnosed with Secondary Progressive MS, which often follows Relapse Remittent Multiple Sclerosis, as it did in my case. I no longer experience the remittent times. My MS is always causing my gait it be choppy, my muscles to be stiff and it is effecting my cognitive thinking. My vision is good one minute and doubled or blurry the next. I suffer with leg spasms. But all of that is just a part of me...I'm also a mom to a wonderful adult daughter. She has given me two amazing grandsons. I am a Human Resources Director for a large company here in San Diego County. I love to shoot landscape photography, hang out with friends and family, develop web pages, generally live my life. I want to try this program to learn alternative was to keep moving when I'm not steady or my muscle are so tight I can only take short steps. I also am interested in nutritional information on the benefits of eating well with MS.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
