There are several types of food items that can be classified as low- or reduced-carb and can help comprise individual low-carb meals and an overall low-carb diet. Keeping your kitchen stocked with these items will make it easier for you to cook and snack in a manner in keeping with a low- or reduced-carb diet.

CANNED ITEMS

  • Low sodium diced tomatoes
  • Low sodium chicken broth/stock

LIQUIDS

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Canola oil

DRY ITEMS

  • Assorted nuts (lightly salted)
  • Canned tuna/salmon

FROZEN ITEMS

  • Berries
  • Mixed vegetables
  • Chicken breasts
  • Fish fillets

REFRIGERATED ITEMS

  • Cream cheese
  • Shredded cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Butter (unsalted)
