Steph "The Hammer" Hammerman

Living with Cerebral Palsy (CP) at the age of 24, CrossFit has become more than just a way of life for Steph; it has helped to unveil her life’s purpose. Always knowing her life was going to come with its fair share of challenges, Steph never allowed CP to get in the way of pursuing a fulfilling life. On paper many people living with CP aren’t supposed to be able to read, speak or write, but Steph has always been one to defy the odds. After a year of seeing CrossFit from an adaptive athlete’s perspective she became interested in the possibility of expanding her education and becoming a CrossFit Coach. It took a lot of work, but she was used to that. As the world’s first L2 trainer with CP, now not only does she have the opportunity to see the sport from two different perspectives, but she gets to help changes the lives of athletes everyday. Her weights may never be Rx, but her effort always will be.  Because of her mind, failure is not an option.
