Stand Up Amputee Basketball
AMP1 is currently the only organized team of amputees playing stand-up versus wheelchair basketball. The group formed in 2011, connecting with each other through YouTube while seeking an opportunity to play competitive basketball as athletes with amputations. The group travels on national tours spreading awareness about stand up amputee basketball by playing against able-bodied teams and hopes to grow into an organized, national league in the future.
