There are many things that individuals with COPD have to be cautious of while exercising or being active, including breathing, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, pain, weakness, and heart rate. They should consult with a doctor to ensure they are healthy enough for physical activity. In general, it is important to stay active and exercise on a regular basis, as this helps keep energy up, reduce shortness of breath, and builds muscle strength and endurance, improving overall quality of life.
