String Beans


Yield: 8 servings basket of green beans

Ingredients:
Large bag of string beans (~40)
½ sweet onion, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper

Preparation:
Fill a large saucepan halfway full with water. Bring water to a roiling boil then drop string beans into the water. Let beans cook until tender. Coat a medium skillet with cooking spray and place over medium heat. Sauté onions until they turn light brown. Combine string beans and onion in a large serving bowl and mix in butter and a few pinches of salt and pepper.
