To help your child get comfortable on his or her back in the water, remind him or her to keep his or her belly button up, and have him or her:
- Look at the ceiling or sky
- Fill his or her belly with air to float
- Relax, laying like he or she is in bed
- Add in small baby kicks
- Add arms, pulling them straight up to the sky by touching his or her ears and back down by his or her hips using these cues
- "Tickle," "T," "Touch"
