Cathy Miller currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Administration of Lakeshore Foundation. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of North Alabama and a MBA from Samford University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. At Lakeshore Foundation, Cathy oversees the accounting, human resources, information technology and facility operation departments. Since joining Lakeshore Foundation in 1997, the organization has experienced significant growth and increased activities. Prior to working at Lakeshore Foundation Cathy worked at Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm and Vulcan Materials.
Cathy currently serves as Chairman of the Governance Committee for the Childrens Aid Society Board of Directors and as a member of Legacy Credit Unions Supervisory Committee. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Association of Non-Profits as Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman of the Alabama Associations Annual Summit. She was Vice President of Finance of the Jr. League of Birmingham. She also served on the Finance Committee of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church where she attends regularly with her husband Curt and son Christofer.
Cathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Woman Society of Certified Public Accounts where she served as President of the Alabama Chapter and other national positions.
Cathy was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2007 as a Mover and Shaker in the Finance World and in 2009 as a Top CFO Finalist for Nonprofit Organizations. She was a member of the Leadership Birmingham Class of 2009 and the 2010 Momentum Womens Leadership Class.
