Ride and Shine was founded in 1996 to provide a horseback riding program for individuals with special needs. Ride and Shine is a member center of North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) and is the only such program offered in El Dorado County.

Our mission is to provide therapeutic intervention to achieve increased balance, muscular control and attention skills, while providing exercise and enjoyment of an activity that will assist in the development of socialization skills and the enhancement of self-esteem.
