Disability in America: Then and Now
A Radio Interview with NCBDDD’s Shannon Griffin-Blake

On July 9, from 6:30-7:00pm, Dr. Shannon Griffin-Blake, from CDC’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), was featured on The Measure of Everyday Life radio program.

Dr. Griffin-Blake spoke on the evolution of disability in America and how this has influenced the way public health sees and collects data about people with disabilities. Also featured was perspectives from individuals who are living healthy lives, despite their disabilities.

The Measure of Everyday Life is a weekly interview program hosted by Dr. Brian Southwell, featuring social science researchers who endeavor to improve the human condition.
