Here is a list of additional classroom activity resources:

TAKE10:  A classroom-based physical activity program that combines academic instruction with 10-minute physical activity breaks to get kids moving.

American Heart Association In-School Activity Breaks:  These three- to five-minute physical activity break ideas can be incorporated into any classroom setting. There are more than 100 physical activity breaks to choose from to help get your students active in the classroom.

Fuel Up to Play 60:  An in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Dairy Council and the NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to help encourage today's youth to lead healthier lives.

FIT Fast Break!:  KidsHealth.org teamed up with NBA FIT to get kids pumped and energized.

Energizers:  An imaginative set of 50 in-class activities for grades K through 5 (primary school) and middle school children (1st to 3rd year of high school) developed by researchers at East Carolina University.

Eat Smart Move More North Carolina Energizers for Schools:  Elementary and middle school energizers are classroom-based physical activities that help teachers integrate physical activity with academic concepts.

Action for Healthy Kids:  These quick and easy Olympic-inspired moves will give your students brain breaks and energizers for the classroom and fitness fun in gym class.


Brain boosters should be inclusive of all types of disabilities. The teacher should provide activities that are fun and that reflect the needs and interests of the students. It is important to gather enough information to create appropriate adaptations to ensure full participation of all students.  Watch this video for an inclusive brain booster example that includes all students!
