About Hello, My name is Sue. I have been diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting MS and have been on disease altering medications for about 13 years. I have been lucky in that the meds seem to have slowed down the progression of the MS. Fatigue, heat and some lose of speed in walking, stiffness and aching in my legs have become constants, though not too disabling yet. I also have some arthritis in my lower back, knees and hips, am on meds for hypothyroidism and for lowering cholesterol. Even with these conditions, I am fairly active. Currently, the fatigue, which includes lack of motivation, is the most concerning issue. I really do not like to exercise. :) I walk about a mile each day. I would like ideas for appropriate exercise equipment as I cannot exercise outside in heat.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
