About I am a single 47 year old woman. single for 16yrs, not by choice. lol! I am supposed to be in a lifestyle cardio class that I have to pay $60month 2X week, everyone is retirement age, overweight and in better health than me. They don't monitor me & I felt worse. So I saw this program & decided to try it on my own. If I can't do something, I won't. I have been disabled for anxiety & depression for many years. I always put my 2 kids first. I raised them alone and ignored my health. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and developmentally is like like a 5yr old. She was very abusive to me & I due to stress & my health, i had to place her in a CBFH. She is very happy now. I have quite a few medical problems that have caused me to be seditary. I am 5'5" and 120Lbs but have no muscle tone. I have been diagnosed with many life threatening things, but with the right medications, diet and exercise I can live a long healthy life. Diagnosis's include: Hypothyroidism(multi-nodule goiter), High BP, I had 2 heart attacks and a hypertensive crisis(ICU for 6 days). It caused damage to my Kidneys also. So I have stage 3b CKD. A few of my other problems that cause me not to exercise are: aortic valve insufficiency, Enlarged thoracic aorta, Prolonged QT interval, Chest pain syndrome with AFib, severe Sleep Apnea. AND Syncope with collapse(I faint, fast & hard. I've never been in a wedding! We could win AFV!) Ok. I'll bet no one read all of this, it's nother a dating app..lol So I will go sit on my ball and watch TV.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
