About My name is Kirsten. I'm almost 27 years old and I have relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis. I am a mother of four young boys and a proud wife. I am in a wheelchair 85%-95% of my day, depending on the kind of day that I am having. I live in the Midwest, and right now it is very cold where I am, the cold makes it hard to function for me, most MS patients have trouble with the heat, I have trouble with the cold. My dream someday is to live somewhere warm and someplace that doesn't get as cold. My hobby is to crochet, I love making arts and crafts with my hands, crochet is the most rewarding and relaxing. I hope by joining this 14 week program to not only lose weight and look better, but to feel better and one day be able to be strong enough to walk on my own again. I'm always looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends!

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
