About My name is Veronica and I love to be outdoors or at least take a walk. Recently my job has changed and I spend 10 hours a day, 6 days a week inside. I have Multiple Sclerosis and have already noticed that not going to the gym or just walking on my lunches regularly, has caused me to gain weight and make my muscles feel stiffer. I tried doing some exercises at my new job but the space is limited and since I spend most of my time at work, I just haven't found the energy to go to the gym. I experience numbness and tingling in my right arm and have trouble with my balance and weakness in upper left quad, but mostly I am able to go about my everyday business with minor inconveniences. I try to eat somewhat healthy but have noticed the fast food creeping in more and more. I believe that if I have a plan in place, I will be able to get on track more efficiently, with specific goals in mind. I look forward to connecting with people that have similar goals in mind and learning about things that helped them make improvements in their everyday life.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
