About Currently I am a grandmother of a 6 year old that I care for fulltime. I want to be more healthy to do so. My life is structured around the granddaughter, allergy related issues I have, my swelling feet and ankles, and the inability to not sleep on occasions. Even though I eat right most of the time and am loosing weight very slowly I know it would benefit me if I would exercise more. I do have a gazelle in my bedroom. I really am trying to look at life in a positive sense for myself and my family. I do unfortunately have a host of mental issues, as I currently weigh 211 pounds. There are issues with my blood pressure and cholesterol. I want to be able to run again and want to be a part of my family life again.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
