About | Hi, my name is Ellie. I was part of a water aerobics class..doing well ..until about 4/6 months ago...when i strained my groin. The pain threw off my walk..which caused scatica. The scatica is still with me....however, I am able now to mostly sleep in my bed...to move about..but with a slow, measured, easily tired limp. ... ..I have begun ot see a chiroprator .....It is a stain to walk the stairs...to walk through the supermarket..to do household choirs...i am trying to strenghten my core....and get back my mobility with physical therapy exercises mostly translated into water exercises and wish ot return to aerobics classes which i enjoyed. I, like Garfield, am not overweight I am undertall.....and since I cannot grow...i guess i will have to settle for losing weigh..because it will help me...feel better....and move more easily. So, problem 1. I am addicted to sugar..mostly chocolate.... My greatest handicap is...i am not a creature of habit.....or schedules......even when i worked long hours....i did not keep a regular controlled schedule.....for eating, sleeping or eliminating and my well being is paying the price for my lack of discipline. This handicaps my ability to gain greater control over my well being. So, i am hoping that these sessions will help me motivate me to change..and that i hope to connect with others so we can help each other realize our goals. |

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!
What is the program?
- Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
- Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
- Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
- Duration: 14 weeks
How does it work?
- You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
- We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
- Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
