About My name is Beth and I was diagnosed with MS in June 2013. I had a right hip replacement in November 2012 and a left hip replacement in May 2014. My recovery has been very slow due to MS and my biggest fear is falling. My left knee has buckled on me a few times and I have fallen. I have to be constantly conscientious of my left leg when stepping up or down a curb or stairs. I am just now starting to be able to go up stairs alternating my legs. I have enjoyed Jazzercising for years and have recently tried a few classes but I have balance issues also and I am afraid of falling. I love the classes and hope to be able to attend them with confidence in the future. Right now I walk on the track, ride the recumbent bike and swim for exercise. I also use the arm machines at the Y. I work full time and am recently widowed and our only child will marry in 2 months and move about 2 1/2 hours away so I need to keep myself busy.
