About My name is Betty. I have lived in Western PA most of my life. I have been happily married for 33 years and we have one adult, married daughter who is an English professor. I, personally, have been a ministry professional for many years but I am not currently employed in ministry. At the present time I have my own busy seamstress business. In 2010 I had to have my left lower leg/ankle/foot reconstruction and in 2014 I severely broke my right ankle/leg and have developed complex regional pain syndrome. With these limitations in my legs, and several years now of inability to be very active, I have gained weight and recognize that my body has become inflexible. I have been looking for options for weight loss and exercise and I'm hopeful this program will help me reach some of my goals.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
