Activity Sticks

Activity sticks are a fun way to be active while watching television or doing other sedentary activities. While watching television, every time a commercial comes on simply choose an activity stick and perform the activity for the length of the commercial. If you are engaged in a different type of sedentary activity other than watching television, simply choose an activity stick every hour or two so that you remain active. Complete the activity for30 seconds or a minute. This will also help keep your mind engaged in what you are doing. Activity sticks are easy to make yourself, or you can win ours by sending an email to email@nchpad.org with the subject of Activity Sticks. We will hold a drawing at the end of the month and mail our sticks to the winner!
